Travel: Regular deliveries throughout Ontario and to customers in the United States

Job Mission

As a Delivery Driver at Crop Defenders Ltd., your mission is to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of our products to customers in Canada and the United States.

You will represent Crop Defenders during customer deliveries and play an important role in maintaining our reputation for reliability, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Safe and Timely Deliveries

  • Safely and efficiently deliver products to designated customer locations throughout Ontario and the United States.

  • Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes to ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.

  • Handle temperature-sensitive and biological products with care and in accordance with company procedures.

  • Maintain the security and condition of products while they are in transit.

Cross-Border Deliveries

  • Regularly travel to the United States to complete customer deliveries.

  • Present the required personal, vehicle, shipment, and customs documentation when crossing the Canada–United States border.

  • Communicate professionally and accurately with Canadian and U.S. border officials.

  • Follow all company procedures and applicable customs, immigration, transportation, and border-crossing requirements.

  • Promptly report border delays, documentation concerns, or delivery issues to the appropriate company contact.

Customer Service

  • Provide courteous, professional, and dependable service during every customer interaction.

  • Confirm deliveries with customers and obtain signatures or other proof of delivery when required.

  • Respond professionally to customer questions and refer concerns to the appropriate Crop Defenders team member.

  • Represent Crop Defenders positively while on the road and at customer locations.

Route Navigation and Communication

  • Navigate delivery routes accurately using Google Maps, Apple Maps, or other approved navigation tools.

  • Monitor road, traffic, weather, and border conditions and adjust routes when authorized.

  • Maintain regular communication with the Crop Defenders team regarding delivery progress, delays, or unexpected issues.

  • Use a smartphone effectively for navigation, communication, delivery confirmation, and documentation.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

  • Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately and on time.

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel purchases, tolls, expenses, and other required information.

  • Collect and submit signed delivery documents, receipts, and proof of delivery.

  • Ensure all required customs and shipment documents are available and accurate before cross-border travel.

Vehicle Safety and Cleanliness

  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required.

  • Promptly report vehicle damage, mechanical concerns, safety issues, accidents, or traffic violations.

  • Keep the assigned delivery vehicle clean, organized, and presentable.

  • Operate company vehicles responsibly and comply with all traffic laws, safety requirements, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence or higher.

  • Clean driving record and ability to provide a certified driver’s abstract upon request.

  • Valid passport and the ability to legally enter the United States for commercial deliveries.

  • Ability and willingness to complete regular cross-border travel between Canada and the United States.

  • Ability to comply with Canadian and U.S. customs, immigration, and border-entry requirements.

  • Conversational proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and interpret basic delivery and customs documents.

  • Proficiency in using a smartphone for navigation, communication, documentation, and delivery confirmation.

  • Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Google Maps and Apple Maps.

  • Ability to safely load, unload, lift, carry, and move delivery boxes and materials.

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when verifying products, quantities, addresses, and documentation.

  • Professional, dependable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing routes and schedules.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling traffic delays, border delays, weather conditions, or other delivery challenges.

  • Availability for early departures, extended routes, and occasional schedule changes depending on delivery requirements.

  • Previous professional driving, delivery, courier, or cross-border experience is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage: CAD $20 per hour

  • Per diem: Provided in accordance with company policy for eligible trips
